It was truly an honor to visit two health centers in Hargeisa, Somaliland. During our visit, we had the privilege of engaging with frontline workers who shared insights into their approach and experiences in delivering maternal, child, and mental health services to recovering communities. Their strategy is rooted in a bottom-up approach, aiming to foster understanding among community members and Ethiopian refugees about the importance of health literacy. The goal is to empower them to take responsibility for their well-being at home.

Through the use of visuals, minimal text, and concise instructions, these dedicated professionals are effectively teaching visitors how to care for themselves, their families, and their communities.
